First off, let me tell you what my problem is and how I was able to finally solve it. My laptop/PC was infected with two malicious programs - a Trojan virus and an adware/spyware program. The application allowed me to perform several downloads, but upon launching the program, it would either not launch or would only display one or two pop-ups before eventually crashing completely.
The only solution to my problem was to restart my machine, which resulted in me losing all of my progress data and my ability to make any further downloads until the machine could properly boot again. This problem with the YT free downloader also had a negative effect on several other applications that I used for web browsing. For example, my internet browser did not work properly anymore and redirects to several websites instead of just YouTube. In addition, several files and programs on my computer were missing and were consequently missing upon restarting my machine. Fortunately, I was able to find a software tool that not only fixed the YT free download problem, but also cleaned up my computer in the process.
