WeFi is a WiFi connection point client that also includes an instant messaging (IM) client. It automatically detects all WiFi access points within range and connects you to the one with the best internet connection. Additionally, WeFi allows you to be the first to map new access points and provides you with IM tools and a buddy list to see where your friends are connected. The software aims to create a community-driven network, where users map and reveal access points. However, the usefulness of WeFi relies heavily on the number of users in the network. If more people join, it can become a valuable tool for finding and connecting to WiFi spots.
