Take care of a scary baby in The Baby in Yellow

The Baby in Yellow is a free horror game themed around babysitting. Your job is to take care of a baby in an otherwise empty house; although everything seems normal at first, soon it will become clear that this is no ordinary baby: this is a child with demonic abilities, straight out of a horror film like The Omen.
While many well-known horror games like The Medium and The Devil make heavy use of gore and scenes that make you jump, The Baby in Yellow is different in that it takes time to build an uneasy atmosphere within the seemingly everyday setting.
Babysitting with a scary twist
At first, the player will be tasked with carrying out simple jobs that recall countless virtual pet games. You will need to keep the baby fed with a bottle, give him clean nappies and place him in his cot when ready, all the while listening to his noises for clues. Over time, however, eerie things will start happening, and that will be just the beginning of the game's horror.
Scary goings-on around the house
As you play The Baby in Yellow, you can expect a variety of weird happenings: the baby will disappear from his cot and appear elsewhere in the house; he will start levitating, his face transforming into a demonic scowl; and creepy messages will appear on the floor in glowing flames. Even with this going on, you will still need to take care of the baby and make sure that he remains happy.
A short but creepy game
The Baby in Yellow is a short game and offers little replay value, but as a free title, it should please players who would like to try out a quick and effective horror game. The controls are simple, although the camera might take some getting used to, and it does a good job of recreating the feel of classic horror films in its interactive setting that gradually fills with supernatural unease as the story unfolds.
