A Simple Text Editor for Windows Operating Systems
TextPad is an intuitive text editor designed especially for the Microsoft Windows operating system. It is developed by Helios Software Solutions, a company that also develops software for clients of the Department of Defense, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Internal Revenue Service and the FBI. The main reason for creating TextPad was to provide computer users with an easy-to-use tool for editing text. Helios Software Solutions has not finished developing the product yet; however, it already has an impressive list of clients who use the product on a daily basis.
TextPad has an interface that is simple and easy to use. The windows family of applications includes such icons as Recycle Bin, History, Pinwheel and the Title bar. One can customize the appearance of the textpad with different color schemes available, either by changing the background or the toolbar. If one uses the default theme provided by the software solutions, he can create a unique background image of his choice using the Image Paint function.
TextPad can be connected to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint for editing of Word documents. To access these applications, one can launch the corresponding application from the Textpad control panel. In addition, to enhance productivity, the textpad is connected to the Windows Network. This enables any user to connect to other users across the network by typing a URL or file extension and sending a file message.
