Pokemon GO brings back the classic monster collection game in a new and creative style. Gone are the days of two-dimensional graphics and single-player storylines.
Try and catch them all
This app takes advantage of augmented reality and geofences to bring you a new experience. Use it to explore the world and track down your favourite pocket monsters. You can collect coins and spend them on lures to find new creatures as you progress.
The visuals are fun and engaging. Every character is well-represented and faithful to their original design. Also, there’s plenty to say about the multiplayer aspects that have been added over time. Join one of three teams and compete over spots in the world called “gyms”. Accumulate points, and you can show everyone in your area that you’re the best around. There are also raids and PVP scenarios available to anyone daring enough to give them a try.
Nothing is perfect, however, and this app is no exception. Connection issues and random losses of data are common.
Fun and addictive
If you’ve ever enjoyed a game that revolves around collecting items or expanding on a set of units, there’s plenty here for you to enjoy. You’re likely to get stuck thinking about what your next prize might be, or where you want to go next as you hunt for new Pokemon or try to find a secluded gym to capture.
