LEGO Harry Potter: Year One is a Lego-inspired action-adventure, RPG video game developed by Traveller's Tales, a division of Hasbro Inc. It was released in September, 2021 and is the second installment in the Harry Potter series. The game's story is based on that of the books written by J.K. Rowling. The game can be played in single player mode or you can choose to play as either Harry Ron or Hermione in player versus player mode. This game has the same basic playstyle as its predecessors but with some different features added.
The story of the game involves Harry Potter facing several threats throughout the years, from both wizard attacks by dark forces trying to destroy magical objects. The game also features several customizable character themes, allowing you to switch between characters at any time. You can also access an interactive map that shows your progress through the game, showing locations of every enemy and magical artifact Harry has fought and destroyed. During the game, you can unlock new artifacts as you defeat enemies and complete objectives. Other aspects of the game include playing jokers, minikin, russet pushers, lemmings, centaurs, basilisks, hags, centaurs, spiders, iguanas, tortoises, gorgons, unicorns, and dragons.

Other additions include the option to buy Harry's broomstick, which is unlockable after you finish the Harry Potter level, as well as a new ability to change into a super-villain for the boss battle.
