Deep Rock Galactic is a first-person co-operative sci-fi shooter developed by Ghost Ship Games, available on the Windows platform. The game is set in a sci-fi universe, where players join a team of veteran dwarven space miners and go on perilous missions for the interplanetary mining corporation DEEP ROCK GALACTIC. The objective is to explore enormous cave systems and uncover the greatest riches.
The game features fully procedural and destructible environments that can be explored, mined, and exploded to reach your objectives. The game's emphasis on teamwork is evident in the traversal, exploration, and combat aspects. The game offers four classes to choose from, each with its unique set of abilities and playstyle. The Gunner is perfect for mowing through enemies, while the Navigator is ideal for scouting ahead and lighting up the caves. The Driller can chew through solid rock, and the Engineer can support the team with defensive structures and turrets.
The game's environments are fully destructible and procedurally generated, meaning there is no set path to follow. Players can carve their path through the caves using a plethora of tools and gadgets at their disposal. The game's atmosphere is dark, and players have to bring their light as the pitch-black alien caves will not give up their riches easily.
