The basic premise of the Finnish developer Supercell’s Clash of Clans is like that of Age Of Empires II. From humble beginnings, you build a settlement and the aim is to develop it through strategy and warfare. Get the balance right, and you can rule the empire that rules them all.
However, while there are the usual elements of building and warfare, this free game has a slightly different take. Sure, you can go at it alone and try to establish your own clan, but it makes more strategic sense to join an existing one – provided it’s the right one for you. It has intense strategy features, like Clash Royale and Brawl Stars.
