City Building Games
City Life is an exciting real-time strategy game in which the player creates a dynamic cityscape through a Window PC. It's the first city-building game in which the player is allowed to interact with every aspect of the cityscape, from choosing the kinds of trees and plants to the noises of the citizens. City Life is also the first city-builder game to let the player see every piece of data and read every readout on the city map. City Life allows the player to basically "drive" the city in its growth. Allowing the city to grow naturally by means of different techniques like zoning and transportation, and utilizing power resources such as gas, coal and water.
City Life features many fully functioning vehicles such as buses, taxis and delivery vans, as well as fully operational factories and shopping malls. It also has many business and commercial buildings that produce the resources the game requires, and numerous public utilities such as water, electricity and gas. The game has an intriguing simulation of real-world urban planning and management principles, and the player earns points for creating aesthetically pleasing structures in the city while earning money and improving the city in general. There are three versions of City Life: City Life Deluxe, City Life Ultra and the City Life Scenario Pack, each one featuring entirely new cities, buildings and scenarios.
City Life features a fully operational transport system including a bus network that connects all of the cities, providing rapid transit service and making travel fast and convenient. The bus system also attracts a number of characters, who can include environmentalists who want to prevent the use of finite resources, as well as radical radicals who wish to overthrow the government and implement total chaos. The story of the game takes place in present day California, in the near future after a virus causes a massive outbreak of something called Sludge. This virus is capable of killing everything in its path, but those who succumb to the disease are protected by genetically engineered humans who are drawn to the infected areas and establish a successful city in the face of all adversity.
