Turn videos into comics with Storyboard
Storyboard is a free mobile app that takes videos you shoot and turns them into comics or graphic storyboards. The app picks out frames from the video, applies stylizing filters to them, and arranges them into a panel layout.
Storyboard is a largely automated process. Unlike a true video editing app, it doesn't give you a lot of control over the details of the images it creates. Instead, it creates a number of different possible comic layouts based on your video. You simply keep refreshing the app until you find one you think looks good. Once you've chosen your image, you can either share it to social media, send it to others, or save it on your phone. The interface is easy to use and the results, while varied, can produce some really interesting images. Ultimately, this isn't an image editor; it's a social media image app similar to something like Pixma in its uses. Storyboard can be a little unstable thanks to the experimental technology it uses.
Storyboard doesn't offer a wide range of features, but overall, this is a fun, free app that lets you do some neat things with the videos on your phone.
