Jewel Quest Solitaire is a multi-player, tile-lacing puzzle game developed and released by iWin. First released for Windows, it's now been ported to Symbian S60, Nintendo DS, the Xbox 360 and other more advanced platforms. The game was well received by critics and users alike, being one of the best multi-player games on the market. Although considerably updated for current consoles, the interface and game mechanics are virtually identical. Unlike most tile-based games in the marketplace, in which gems are purchased and used to progress through a level, in Jewel Quest Solitaire you must first find and mine your way through an assortment of jewels that randomly appear throughout the game. Although occasionally gems do not drop naturally, they can be purchased from the in-game store for a certain price and are essential to completing the game. When you initially start playing the game, you'll immediately be tasked with finding as many jewels as possible while avoiding all the obstacles in your path - including spikes, chests and traps.
From a technical standpoint, i Win's Jewel Quest solitaire runs at a smooth and steady clip with no noticeable slowing down or freezing up. Graphics are fairly simplistic and do not require high quality settings. As far as game play goes, this card game is not very complicated; the majority of the levels are easy to complete without spending countless hours trying to figure out how to complete them. Overall, this is a great game for anyone who enjoys solitaire gaming. I hope i Win develops more games in the Jewel Quest series because they truly are some of the best games available.
