FileTypesMan - A Tool For Windows Operating Systems
Screenshots
FileTypesMan is a utility for Microsoft Windows operating systems that displays the list of installed file types. It displays all file types and extensions present on your computer, even though it may be invisible to you. For every file type, there is also an explanation in English and/or German, Spanish, Italian, Korean, and Chinese. The user can only see the unrecognized file types.
FileTypesMan can be helpful if you need to perform maintenance on the file types on your desktop. You can make changes by using the buttons on the right side of the window. For example, if you want to add a new file extension or remove an existing extension, you just need to click on the "edit" button next to the entry of the file type. Furthermore, you can go to different file extensions by using the drop down list on the right side of the window.
This utility is similar to the built-in Windows" Explorer", and they are both accessible through "Start". Both these utilities are useful, however, FileTypesMan provides a better interface and is more efficient in its ability to display file types. It also provides a greater number of options, which is useful if you are familiar with some file types but not with other applications on your system. You will therefore save time when searching for files by using FileTypesMan, as you only have to perform a few clicks rather than navigating around the whole screen. Furthermore, you do not have to specify whether you want to see the entire file or only the selected text.
