Fast Racing Car 3D Simulator is a free racing game for Android developed by Doodle Mobile. The game is essentially a low-resolution modern racing game reminiscent of games from the early 2000s. While the game isn’t all that technical or complex, it’s certainly fun if you like the type of gameplay it offers.
If you like the interface and physics setup within Fast Racing Car 3D Simulator, you’ll likely enjoy Beach Buggy Racing 2. You battle opponents on various courses while collecting power-ups and boosts. Beach Buggy Racing 2 has more variation than Fast Racing Car 3D Simulator and is more enjoyable overall. Another good alternative is the 2D Hill Climb Racing.
The graphics employed in Fast Racing Car 3D Simulator are nothing spectacular. The environment brings to mind the endless procedurally generated surroundings in earlier two-dimensional racing games. This game does, however, have a few significant improvements over the games of yesteryear.
For one thing, the vehicles in Fast Racing Car 3D Simulator seem to be three-dimensional meshes, albethey simple, low-polygon meshes. For another, there does seem to be some variation in the surroundings, although you cannot interact with anything outside of the racing course.
Fast Racing Car 3D Simulator’s gameplay leaves much to be desired. The goal of the game is to get ahead of your opponents and finish the race in the first place; simple enough. However, due to the lack of true performance variation between the different vehicles, the game is not challenging enough. The courses are also incredibly simple, and there are little to no obstacles to present any kind of challenge while driving.
The camera angle in Fast Racing Car 3D Simulator is as you’d expect; facing the rear of the vehicle head-on, giving you a good view of the road ahead. However, there is a quirk with the movement of the camera that I found to induce dizziness. When you turn the car, it doesn’t have various degrees to which it can turn; there is only one degree.
This leaves turning a corner feeling very jerky. The camera also rapidly rotates almost 45 degrees when you turn the vehicle. In my experience, the rapid camera rotation and the jagged turning mechanism caused dizziness after a short period of play.
Decent, but by no means exciting
If you’re looking for a driving game that offers a challenge and significant enjoyment, look elsewhere. Fast Racing Car 3D Simulator is relatively monotonous and won’t keep you entertained for very long.
There is also no sign of any significant updates in the future that might add more variation or excitement to the game.
