Extreme Tux Racer Review - What's New With This Game
Screenshots
The newly released Extreme Tux Racer for the Game Boy Advance is a high-speed, side-scrolling racing game with fantastic graphics and sound effects. Now have pound into a game called Extreme Tux Racer and get a crack at it. This is an updated version of the popular arcade game and has been rebuilt from scratch to include all of the latest technology. You can now choose from many new tracks and challenges and an improved graphics engine and sound mix. There are even more important improvements in the control scheme, and the game now runs very quickly and smoothly on the new console.
For those who own the original Extreme Tux, you will notice that there have been improvements made with the controls, especially the stick-turn ability. This is a great little game and although some people may bemoan the fact that you no longer have a joystick for steering, I personally love the lack of clutter. It's just easier to play now, and with the improved controls and the newer graphics, it's a lot of fun. However, even with the improvements, it's still a wonderful arcade game and one I strongly recommend for all those looking for a quality racing game with excellent graphics and sound effects.
Extreme Tux Racer is available for those who own the arcade version, as well as for those who would like to try the new version. Those who have played the arcade version probably want to try the new game with the improved graphics and stick turn ability. Those who have yet to play the game can download the arcade version from the Internet and get an idea of how the game is and how well it works for those who enjoy playing casual games on the computer or playing the console versions.
