Working in Privacy With Avast! VPN
Using avast! SecureLine VPN on your android device is as easy as clicking a few buttons. The first thing to do is download the latest firmware for your Avast SecureLine VPN software. Avast Software has a very user friendly interface, however if you have never used the Avast Software prior to setting up your SecureLine VPN connection you may find it a little tricky. On the main menu there is a very large list of Add-Ons which are available to modify many aspects of Avast! SecureLine's operation.
Clicking on the "Open" button on this Add-On will bring up a window with a scrolling list of servers which are listed geographically closest to your current IP location. Once you have chosen one or more servers, click "Save Changes". On the next screen you will see the "IP Configuration" tab which allow you to modify your SecureLine's IP address, subnet mask, and even the physical location of your VPN server(s). You will then be able to connect to your VPN servers and browse securely over any Wi-Fi connection!
There are several other useful apps that can be used while working on your android device such as Google Maps, Google Store, Google Voice, Yahoo Messenger, and many others. These apps are used for all of the same purposes as the SecureLine app, but they are not part of the Avast Software bundle. The SecureLine VPN apps work equally well on any of the leading smart phones as well as netbooks, tablets, laptops, and other connected devices.
