There are also some basic image manipulation tools like red eye filters, brightness adjustments, contrast adjustments, resizing and cropping tools and a few others. The user interface for iPhoto is extremely clean, simple and user friendly program and can be used by a complete beginner. This is especially the case for the sharing features, which can convert pictures into beautiful slideshows with usic from the iTunes library as a soundtrack. These slideshows can even be shared as QuickTime movies. The users can then edit them in iMovie and iDVD can also be used to burn the files to disc. The photo albums can also be synced with iPods. Moreover, they can be viewed on televisions that support such a format and playback option. iPhoto users are even offered digital prints, cards, album volumes etc., but only in selected markets. SaveHollywood
SaveHollywood is a Screen Saver module for OS X 10.8 or later. It’s a neat little utility that lets you play movies when your Mac enters screen saver mode. With SaveHollywood you can use your favourite movie as your screensaver, or your can use marketing or promotional material instead. SaveHollywood lets you add and configure your own videos, including Flash, QuickTime and some other formats, that can be used as a screensaver. It can also be used as workaround solution to watch QuickTime videos in fullscreen! Installation is easy and takes a few seconds. As soon as it is installed you can access the app via the Mac system preferences menu. It embeds itself into the Mac user interface and has a few configurable features and settings for you to tinker around with; for instance, you can set up which movies to play and you can choose to create a playlist, which can be looped or shuffled. Overall, SaveHollywood is a very cool idea, which is a clever take on the standard Screen Saver module. If you are in the market for something a bit quirky, rather than the standard slideshow and background imagery, then SaveHollywood might be just what you are looking for?
