Requiem: Memento Mori, also known as Requiem: The Undead Chronicles is an upcoming free-to-play, massively multi-player online action-adventure PC game based in the vampire setting. It is in the tradition of the series Vampire: The Masquerade, and it is set in a world where vampires roam the land and exert their dark power over the mortal world. The game is set around a year after the events of the first game, and focuses on the life of the character Edward, who rises again after his death. Edward is framed for the murder of his own family, and now he needs to find a way to save his wife and son before their impending starvation and thirst turn them into a wraith, or an immortal, like himself. You can choose to play as Edward, a master vampire hunter, fighting the vampires that threaten to take over the world; you can also play as one of the main characters, a young woman called Lyra, who is Edward's love interest in the game and the basis of your relationship with her.Like most free online horror games, Requiem has an emphasis on action and combat. You'll find yourself taking cover in several battles against waves of enemies, engaging in hand-to-hand combat as well as using your ranged weapon skills to do some damage to their health. The action is very intense and does not take a great deal of time to perform, which makes it easy to play this game on a fairly tight schedule. A great thing about this game is that you can truly replay parts of the levels multiple times, as you discover how to fight against stronger and more difficult challenges as you progress through the game's levels.
In addition to being an incredibly thrilling game, the realistic graphics and sound effects help to create a very realistic environment in which you feel as if you really are into the story and environment. While I wouldn't go so far as to say that the graphics are very detailed and lifelike, they are present enough to really put you into the story and environment. One thing that is always a bit of a downside in games is the clipping of the player character when they become vulnerable or injured. However, in Requiem, this problem is almost nonexistent and you will rarely come across any clipping once you are playing the game - something that can be a problem depending on the level of the player character and the type of game that you are playing.
