Poly Bridge Review
Poly Bridge is an exciting bridge-building game, developed in New Zealand by independent NZ-based indie studio Dry Cactus using music from Canadian musician Adrian Talens. Poly Bridge was recently released for Microsoft Windows and Apple iOS on July 12th, 2021, both for free and with in-app purchases. Like many other casual games, the game requires you to drag and drop objects into slots that spin and also involves a bit of coordination as well. It's a fairly basic concept but one which draw from traditional PC and console games as well as the unique physics engine of the iPhone. In fact, Dry Cactus has made a number of social networking applications based on the Poly Bridge design.
The Poly Bridge app uses a fairly simple interface based on a scrolling map of New Zealand, and your goal is to build a strong and functional bridge in the shortest amount of time as possible. You'll need to use a combination of scissors, saws, bricks, stakes, nuts and bolts, and hammers to craft the different bridge designs available, which consist of vertical, horizontal, diagonal, circular, and half-circular bridges. You can build bridges over any type of surface; you just need to place the right tile or plank on the puzzle board to complete the design. The actual game play consists of a series of challenges, and you'll be challenged both mentally and physically as you work to complete your bridge designs by linking tiles together in the quickest and most efficient way possible.
The actual challenge comes from completing your bridge without destroying any of your bridge tiles in the process and failing to do this will result in the bridge collapsing, forcing you to restart from the beginning. Whilst this seems like a simple game, the strategy involved requires some thought and careful consideration as your bridge building time frame is limited, and if you fall into a rut your gameplay will come to a sudden halt. This makes the game quite challenging, but it's exciting aspects can last longer than most games, as each new challenge gives you just that little bit extra to complete it. There are few other apps that combine photo editing, game play, and drawing into one, which means that Poly Bridge has all the right features to make it a highly addictive game that players will want to try again. Its simplicity in concept makes it one of the best options for an iPhone game download, and the short length of the game means that you don't have to invest hours upon hours in order to enjoy it.
