A Switch JoyCon emulator

JoyCon Droid (Public Alpha) is an application that turns Android smartphones into Nintendo Switch controllers through emulation or via USB, giving you access to your favourite games.
An original idea
Many Nintendo emulators serve as a replacement for the entire device, most notably, Yuzu, Ryujinx, and the universal Cemu. However, not many pieces of software exist that help people who have the hardware.
JoyCon Droid steps in here to emulate Left JoyCon, Right JoyCon, and Pro Controller through a single app on your Android phone. It connects via Bluetooth or USB and lets you control your Switch more easily.
Demanding
In this stage of the development, JoyCon Droid is still a highly demanding app, at least if you want to run it smoothly. Primarily, you'll need to have Android 9.0 or higher, as well as a Bluetooth HID profile.
Buggy at times
The app is relatively new; as such, you may experience lagging or bugs with this app at times. On some devices, it may not support all the features. In this case, the developers encourage users to let them know via email or Discord so they could debug it further.
Amiibo
One of the most particular features of JoyCon Droid is the support for the Switch Amiibo function, which allows for the integration of interactive cards and figures to work with game titles, such as Animal Crossing.
This feature has also yet to become as smooth as possible. At the moment, it takes a while to load, suffers from delays in inputs, and can't read some files at all.
A great alternative
This app still has a lot of room for improvement, both in its compatibility with devices and performance as a controller. Still, it's amongst the first ones that do what it does. Developers are rushing to fix all the bugs, giving JoyCon Droid the potential to become the best alternative to physical controllers out there.
