Unfortunately, as has become the norm for mobile applications, Young Radio Pro is far too heavy on advertisements. Even though the utility is free-to-use, as are streaming utilities like YouTube, the ad-to-content ratio within this app detracts from the quality of the listening experience.
Limited library
Any app professing to be a music streaming service is only as good as the content it hosts. In the case of Young Radio Pro, there is a lack of a decent breadth of content. Reviewing the comments sections of most marketplaces where this app is available for download highlights the severe lack of content. Similar apps such as Spotify and Joox, although premium products have a far greater selection of artists and tracks, it’s unlikely to come across popular tracks that these services don’t have. The same cannot be said for Young Radio Pro.
Temperamental at best
Young Radio Pro is the kind of app anyone would want to be good, but it simply doesn’t stack up to alternatives. The app also has core operational issues that many users complain about:
- The shuffle feature doesn’t last more than a few songs within a selected playlist
- The repeat function cannot repeat a song more than once.
- Another common issue is that the app drains a lot of battery power and is therefore not suited to long streaming sessions away from a charger.
Too much to be desired
Compared to other music streaming apps for Android, there is simply too much that Young Radio Pro cannot do or doesn’t do well enough. Yes, Young Radio Pro can play music, but there is too much of a gap in its discography offerings. Another issue that disqualifies this app from being a halfway-decent music streaming service is that it often doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to. There are far too many reports of the service crashing, serving users with a blank screen, or simply refusing to fulfil the one purpose for which it was created -- to play music.
