The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition is an action video game. The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition includes the base game as well as two expansion packs. The expansion packs add new areas to explore, new weapons and equipment to use, and new characters to interact with, as well as new storylines and quests to complete. It takes place in an alternate future where mega-corporations have colonized and terraformed alien planets. The main story of the game involves the player character working with various factions, allies, and enemies to uncover the truth behind the conspiracy and to prevent a disaster that could destroy the entire colony. The Spacer's Choice Edition includes two expansion packs: Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos. In the former, you’ll travel to an asteroid to investigate a mysterious research facility. Here you’ll uncover the secrets of a dangerous new drug. In Murder on Eridanos, you travel to a new planet to investigate a murder mystery and uncover a corporate conspiracy. Your choices throughout the game will determine the fate of the colony, as well as the player's own destiny. However, some players have found the game's combat and quests to be repetitive, with a lack of variety in gameplay mechanics.
