Long-time fans of the series have something new to look forward to with the announcement of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin. Helmed by THQ Nordic and Black Forest Games, this upcoming premium single-player adventure will follow the surviving Turtle on a revenge mission across a futuristic, battle-ravaged New York City.
A more mature journey
Following a storyline that’s loyal to the comics, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin is also going to be more mature than other TMNT games. The developers liken its action to that of the God of War series, so it goes without saying that its content is geared toward an older audience. Not much is revealed yet, though players can anticipate a primarily single-player adventure. Old characters will be seen through flashbacks, but the story will focus more on the last surviving Turtle. Moreover, the game’s revealed to be released on PC, PS5, and the Xbox Series.
Aimed toward older players
Although it's still in the works, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin already holds a lot of promise. As a mostly single-player adventure, it sets a more mature environment for the well-loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Ninja Turtles franchise. Due to that, it’s not going to be suitable for younger audiences.
