Working With the TeamViewer QuickSupport Service Case in TeamViewer 7

For the past few years TeamViewer has been providing their clients with a remote support system, in which they allow their clients to use their own custom Android interface, and use a variety of other features built right into the TeamViewer platform, including screen capture, sharing documents and other various options. I've used this product extensively on both desktop and mobile devices running various platforms, and while the remote control support package is great for many individuals and companies, it has one major shortcoming that I'd like to discuss with you today. While the TeamViewer software itself is quite robust and versatile, there are a few things that work best with the specific hardware requirements of the Android ecosystem.
If you're working with a device that has a very specific layout or doesn't respond correctly to certain commands, then the TeamViewer QuickSupport service may not be the ideal solution for your needs. The reason for this is quite simple; the Quick Supports function only supports the most common screen capture events that occur on most Android devices. The most common events include: double tap to focus, tapping in the portrait mode, the device turning on with a tap, scrolling to scrollable elements, and so forth. Because these commands capture so many different events, there is a much smaller list of events that can be used, and there is a much larger list of functions that can be executed by using the various Quick Support plugins that are available for use with the TeamViewer platform.
For this reason, I recommend using the TeamViewer QuickSupport plugin as a last resort. You can use the Quick Support service case from the Android interface to execute a small handful of common functions, but if you need to do anything more complex, the Android native platform functionality will be much too limiting. My recommendation is to use the TeamViewer QuickSupport module instead. This custom module provides a full range of functions that are designed to make working with the Android device as easy as possible.
