Tag with Ryan is a new flash game on the Google play marketplace. The game is part of the wildworks category and is similar to many of the other apps in that category. As one would expect, the game is an expansion of the hit casual game WildWaters. The game puts players in the center of a small town, filled with all sorts of weird characters who are there to help the little guy out. Some of the characters include the head chef from the Wild Waters series, the crazy taxi driver, the ever elusive and sexy gazelle, the morbidly obese sheriff, and many others.
This version of Tag with Ryan focuses on the relationship between Ryan and Lori, a girl he meets in town who happens to be his cousin. The story starts when Ryan takes Lori for a drive one day and he gets off the bus while it is parked in front of a boding store. When he gets out of the bus, he is suddenly being attacked by two men who seem to want to steal the bus' contents. Fortunately enough, Ryan is soon given the chance to escape by means of a distress signal that sends the group of WildWaters to investigate the crime. It is here that they find that Ryan's cousin is involved in the theft as well, and so they pursue her into a maze of biz around town, all while trying to find clues to find out where she and Ryan are going. It seems that Ryan has been taken to see Wild Waters creator Max Natahn, who is currently working on the latest version of the game for the Android Market, and uses the current code as the basis for the game on the play store.
Although the story is based on a true story, the developers at WildWaters have made sure that the story is completely absurd. One example of this includes the fact that Ryan and Lori end up locked in an elevator together. They have to escape from the elevator in order to unlock it, only to find out that it leads to the offices of Wild Waters itself where they learn that Ryan and Lori have been hired by Natahn to clean up the mess left behind by the "scorched" Wild Waters. In this sense, it seems that the viral nature of Android applications has brought about a lot of great ideas, including the ability to unlock your phone with a "tap of the screen."
