The Snaildriver utility is a Windows based driver replacement program designed by Microsoft to allow Vista computers to use wireless printers, microphones and scanners. The software was created as part of Microsoft's Office Suite for Microsoft Windows based PCs. As with all other Microsoft products, the program is available free of charge, but has some limitations as to what it can do and how it can be used. The Snaildriver software has been developed mainly for Windows Vista, but may work on previous versions of Windows as well, but only if the hardware on the computer is compatible.
The process is very simple, but there are a few things to remember before running the Snaildriver program. First and foremost, you should be sure that you have the most up to date Windows drivers on your computer. You can identify which drivers are outdated or not working properly by looking at the devices or properties windows driver updater. Next, open up the program you wish to use and select from the start menu at the bottom left corner, click "Run", then "OK". When prompted, you will need to agree to the license terms and click next to continue.
Once the program is opened, you will see two tabs, one for upgrading drivers and the other for locating and updating obsolete drivers. To upgrade the older drivers, go to "Updates" and select the latest (vista-based) version of each driver. To locate and update the newest obsolete drivers, go to "Downloads". After you have located and downloaded the latest version of each drivers included in the Snnnel driver updater, simply click the install button and proceed to run the program as normal.
