Dark Fantasy RPG: Redemption Reapers
Redemption Reapers is a dark fantasy RPG that follows a small band of mercenaries as they attempt to resist invading armies that have decimated their world and keep it steeped in terror. The game makes use of both RTS-style isometric views and third-person action sequences and cinematics.
Thematically, this game can be likened to games like Dragon Age: Inquisition. However, the playing style of the game may be more familiar to players of games like Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. As with both examples, Redemption Reapers is a fantasy role-playing game.
The premise of Redemption Reapers sees the player take control of a small band of mercenaries who had previously been despised by the people of the game's world. After the invasion of a deadly army that led to the decimation of humanity, the mercenaries have become the only hope to resist the invading forces of the Mort.
The player must win fierce battles between their mercenaries and the forces of Mort, and they will need to use tactics to do so. Each member of the mercenaries squad has unique skills, and the player must learn how best to utilize them if they are to succeed. They must also carefully manage the limited resources at their disposal.
Redemption Reapers should have plenty to interest fans of tactical battles, squad management, and dark fantasy games. As well as many enemies to do battle with, the game features a detailed story and expansive world-building for the player to experience. The medieval fantasy setting may also hold special appeal for some, as it is a very popular setting.
