FlatOut 2 Game Review
FlatOut 2 is an upgraded action-adventure video game developed by Bugbear Entertainment and released by Empire Interactive. It's the follow-up to the well-received first game FlatOut: The billboard stunt game. Like the first game, this version includes new courses, rooms, weapons, opponents, special effects, and more. It also comes with a host of technical upgrades that make it run smoothly on both Macs and PCs.
FlatOut 2 features an all-new course designed by the award-winning designer of the original FlatOut, Tim Schafer. In the game, you'll again drive through a city as it rises from the ground and begins to burn, scorch, and collapse around you. The streets are blocked by several trucks that are racing towards your location at breakneck speed. Your only hope is to beat these trucks into submission - by using your maneuverability and your quick reflexes. The course is littered with dangerous obstacles such as burning gas stations, demolition equipment, and guard dogs, which mean you're going to have to think fast to avoid being stuck, dazed, or stunned. In addition to all this, the street level is also packed with obstacles in the form of a zip-line, basketball courts, bowling pins, and a long dock for a freight ship.
One of the best features of this game is its use of the in-built Microsoft windows Live System. This means that even though you're playing on a third party gaming platform, you can still sync your Live. Using the Selection Save feature, you can easily select and save your favorite course to remember it for the future.
