BitLife Français is a free simulation game for Android by developer Goodgame Studios.
When it comes to simulation games, people often think of vehicle sims like Bus Simulator 2023, Car Mechanic Simulator 18, or construction sims such as Construction Simulator 3, to name a few.
Instead of vehicles, in this game, you’ll get to simulate a real life, from beginning to end. This is the French version of BitLife, which is available in many languages. The gameplay involves making choices at critical points in your virtual person’s life, and by the end, you’ll get to review your choices.
The ultimate simulation
From the beginning, BitLife Français lets you review your future being’s status in terms of health, happiness, looks and smarts. From then on, a myriad of choices will impact your life’s outcome. Of course, these will impact your character too, making them more reserved, outgoing, etc.
There’s an enormous amount of content to provide a glimpse of what life may turn out to be like for any created character. You can become famous, a criminal, a regular Joe or Jane, and many things in between.
Simple but nuanced mechanics
Everything you do in BitLife Français works in a text-adventure format. You make choices and get to assess their outcomes. These aren’t only obvious things like choosing to join the army or becoming a lawyer. Not only do you get to decide whether to kiss, say, Janice, but also with or without the tongue.
Everything has an extra layer, making it super engaging and infinitely replayable. You have an interface somewhat similar to Facebook to check your stats and certain information such as relationships, assets and more.
Fun, light-hearted virtual life
BitLife Français is a fun take on what-ifs. What if you’d gone to law school, or married the prettiest girl/guy? Most importantly, the game constantly shows that not all the seemingly “good” choices end up being positive. However, this sounds a bit too serious, and the game makes a solid effort to keep things snappy and fun.
Of course, you need to know French for this particular version of the game, and there are no new features compared to the other versions. The interface is very simple, however, which is great for a French student who wants to learn some new vocabulary.
