UoB Campus Map, developed by Smart Networked Environments Ltd, is a free Android application designed to assist students, staff, and visitors in navigating around the University of Birmingham's Edgbaston and Selly Oak campuses. The app provides building-to-building navigation, study space locations, café opening times, and event updates, all consolidated within the digital campus map. Users can also obtain useful travel advice on various means of getting to and from the campuses, including real-time bus and train information, and supporting information on the location of cafés, shops, and toilets.
The app's flexible routing capabilities ensure appropriate paths are selected for impaired mobility users, in conjunction with the University's disabled access forum. Additionally, the system automatically takes into account when paths or facilities, such as lifts or stairs, are closed, and calculates the best path accordingly. A feedback form is available within the settings menu for users to send any issues, suggestions, or comments to be considered in preparation for the next release.
