The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn Review

The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn can be considered a spiritual sequel to the successful film adaptation of the same name. The first movie in the series, The Princess and the Frog, earned warm critical acclaim and went on to become the second highest grossing animated film of all time. The second film, titled The Princess and the Frog, was a box office smash...but did it receive the popularity it deserved? This article will attempt to pinpoint why The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn did not receive the positive audience reception it deserves.
The premise of the game is simple...magic. A young woman (Tintin) lives a solitary life on a floating island with no way to return to shore. One day, while sailing on vacation, she meets a young man who offers to take her back to shore. The two of them become shipmates and are forced to flee from pirates who have taken over the island. The rest of the story takes place aboard their pirate ship as they fight off waves and other pirates.
Unfortunately, the visuals in The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn were not up to par with previous games in the series and did not live up to the standard set by the prior films. Despite this, the visuals are still passable, and I believe that anyone who gave this game a chance would be blown away by the charming story, engaging storyline, and simple but engaging gameplay. Due to some poor game design decisions on the part of ubarium, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn would've been better had it been released in 2021. However, since it's now released in 2021, I'm sure we'll all be excited for its return.
