SkyRoads is a free racing game developed by Geeks of Gaming. In SkyRoads, you race in space with a ship in two modes: endless mode and levels with increasing difficulty to challenge yourself. It features 1990s retro graphics that remind you of Nintendo’s Mode 7. The gameplay’s been adapted for mobile devices and simplified compared to the game it draws its inspiration from.
If you want more racing games on your Android device, you should also give Super 3D Car Race-Drift Battle, Car Racing, or CSR Racing 2 a try. These options offer vastly different racing experiences.
Game modes
SkyRoads offers two game modes: Infinite Runner and Levels. The former is an endless mode, letting you dodge obstacles with the goal of going as far as possible. The latter mode features different roads with increasing difficulty for every new stage.
Gameplay
Skyroads’ gameplay is straightforward, and you can control your ship by swiping your fingers across the screen. At the bottom of the screen, you’ll find a speed meter and a nitrous gauge. You fill it by driving over green cells on the road, and when it’s full, you can use it for a temporary speed boost.
Visuals & UI
For its visual presentation, SkyRoads keeps things simple with old-school 3D graphics. The road is a coloured band with a flat texture, and it often changes with holes you must dodge and obstacles you must jump over. The background is a picture of the Milky Way, and your ship has a blue flame behind it with nice particle effects.

SkyRoads is a simple yet fun space racer offering two types of challenges. With the endless mode, the game will test your ability to focus on reaching as far as possible, while the level mode offers increasingly difficult roads testing your reflexes.
The gameplay is accessible with touch controls for direction and a button to use the speed boost when the green meter is full. The graphics opt for an old-school approach with simple 3D, making it timeless. Coupled with the sober user interface, SkyRoads offers maximum visibility during gameplay to let the player focus on dodging the obstacles and holes in the road.
