Save The Girl Review

After a few disappointments I decided it was time to give Save The Girl a second chance and see if it had any more to offer than the two previous Zillionaire Minutes I had played. And again I was not disappointed, the graphics were clearer and better. Graphics are always a point of debate when it comes to mobile gaming but in this game it felt as though they had been improved considerably. Also, with the abundance of user generated content you always have something fresh to try and you are never going to be bored with the story line either. In fact, it is all very well created and just as enjoyable to play as the first game I played on the Android. The story follows a young girl who is taken under the care of a private investigator whilst she solves puzzles to uncover the identity of the evil Doctor Dark. I shall have to admit at the start I was a little put off at the heavy storyline, but once the story had been eased into it I found it to be incredibly engrossing and well paced puzzle game. In this game you are allowed to manipulate the main character, known as the "girl" in the game, with a variety of different actions which can really help you to think logically about what to do next, as well as helping you to develop your skills, by finding items and solving riddles. It's not just a brain teaser, but also a beautiful game to look at as well, with lovely hand-drawn artwork.
In the beginning of the game the girl has a simple problem: she has the wrong answer for a certain question and needs to find out what the correct answer is before she makes her grand entrance. To do this she must solve a series of increasingly difficult puzzles throughout the game, while avoiding the attention of several lions. As you proceed through the island you will also discover locked doors and other obstacles that will be blocking your progress, requiring some clever thinking and manipulation of the gameplay mechanics to find a way through. It's a little slower than the lion studio games but definitely not unplayable. If you like your puzzles with a slow pace and hidden object style game then you'll love Save The Girl.
