Samsung One UI Home is a free home screen personalisation app designed by Samsung Electronics for all new Android 6.0 or higher OS devices. It’s a more recent version of the Samsung Experience Home Starts, with improved features to redesign your Galaxy device.
Other UI launcher apps like Next Launcher 3D Shell and Golden Launcher are perfect for Android devices. One UI Home is pre-installed on all Galaxy devices, but you can download it for other Android 6.0 or higher devices.
How to use Samsung One UI Home
You can use One UI Home to arrange your device’s home screen icons with a simple layout that suits your device. If you’re using a Samsung Galaxy device, there’s no need to download the app, as it’s already preloaded. But, for all other Android devices, you’ll need a reliable app store or download link.

Once the app is on your device, you can launch it and start playing around with it to redesign your home screen to your liking. You can use it to customise your device by:
- Changing your wallpaper and themes
- Add screens for apps and widgets
- Change your grid layout
- Enable and disable icon badges

Deleting, disabling, and battery usage
Unfortunately, users can’t disable or remove the app from their Samsung Galaxy device, as it’s a system app. Addtionally, you can’t put the app to sleep, as doing this will stop the device from working and block your native launcher. What you can do is switch to a third-party launcher.
The app can use a lot of battery power. Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can do to stop this, but what you can do is remove widgets that you don’t frequently use.
