Free health app
Petal Health is a free health app by Huawei that allows you to monitor your health via various features, such as synchronisation with wearable devices that can monitor your sleep, count your steps, and help you manage fitness goals. It works similarly to other apps like Samsung Health and Lefun Health.
This app was formerly known as Huawei Health, but its name was changed, and the need for a Huawei ID login was removed. However, you do need to use wearables if you intend to take advantage of its full functionality. If you do, there are many exciting features.
Petal Health goes way beyond footsteps counters. It can also track your running and cycling, control your weight, the different stages in your sleep, your heartbeats, stress, oxygen in your blood, and even your skin temperature. It’s like having a mini-lab in the palm of your hand.
Monitor everything
Of course, most features require extra equipment to work with your smartphone. Even if you don’t use wearables, you can input information, and it works as a valuable log to register your weight, distance walked, sleeping hours, and more.
Put your plans into action
If you’re struggling with your fitness, Petal Health can help with that too. With all that data you input, you can get scientifically-developed programs to help you achieve different goals. These targets can be as varied as losing weight or gaining muscle.
The recommended programs take your personal data into account. They’re very useful if you know what you want but don’t know how to achieve your goals.
A well-rounded health app
Petal Health is a solid health app that, thanks to losing its Huawei ID requirement, will appeal to many people looking to become fitter or simply monitor their vital stats. It works well, except for some minor sync issues, and the training programs are extremely useful.
On the negative side, it has lost some great features that the original Huawei Health had, such as the Healthy Living tab, where you had daily goals and the number of miles you were set to do. The cycle calendar is also gone. However, even with those absentees, it’s easy to recommend.
