NZ Pass Verifier: The Official App for COVID-19 Vaccination Verification
NZ Pass Verifier is a free app developed by the Ministry of Health NZ that helps businesses scan and verify My Vaccine Pass, the official record of COVID-19 vaccination status in New Zealand. It is a tool that aims to stop the spread of COVID-19 and keep the community safe.
The app allows businesses to scan a customer’s My Vaccine Pass in both digital and paper formats, and verify their vaccination status. The pass owner’s first name, last name, and date of birth are displayed on the screen. The app also provides audio and vibration feedback on the validity of the vaccine pass. NZ Pass Verifier can verify passes without an internet connection, but the app needs to be connected to the internet at least every 14 days to stay up to date. The front camera can be used for scanning, but it needs to be at least 10 megapixels to scan effectively. Moreover, the app protects privacy as it does not store or share any information about the owner of the My Vaccine Pass.
