HUK UMD is an accident reporting app developed by HUK-COBURG, designed to be a crucial tool for emergencies. With a user-friendly interface, it serves as the central component of a retrofit emergency call system for vehicles, known as the Accident Reporting Service. The app integrates seamlessly with a dedicated accident reporting plug that connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth, powered by the car's 12V socket or cigarette lighter.
This app features an automatic accident alert system triggered by the crash sensor on the plug, sending an immediate notification to the app in case of a traffic accident. It establishes a voice connection with a support team who can assist in coordinating necessary actions, leveraging details like your location and the accident's severity. Additionally, a manual accident alarm function is available for requesting rescue or reporting incidents. HUK UMD requires active mobile data, GPS, and Bluetooth on your device, and both the app and registration for the accident reporting plug are provided free of charge by HUK-COBURG.
