Free Harry Potter parody game

Escape PS1 Hagrid is a free, short Harry Potter parody game for Windows. Experience a slightly different take on the legendary Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as you dash through the halls in the middle of the night, completing tasks for characters from the cinematic franchise.
Escape PS1 Hagrid is, at its core, a pure parody. If you prefer gameplay that is more true to the books by J.K Rowling, and the subsequent award-winning cinematic universe, try either Lego Harry Potter or Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by gaming powerhouse Electronic Arts.
Pure parody
As its title suggests, Escape PS1 Hagrid is centred around the visual design of Hagrid in the earlier Harry Potter games for PlayStation. Hagrid’s appearance in the game has become somewhat ingrained in current popular culture, purely because of how terrifying the low-poly models and low-resolution texture maps of the PS1-era Harry Potter games were.
Escape PS1 Hagrid sees you stepping into the iconic shoes of Harry Potter during his time at Hogwarts, but with a twist. This time, you’ll be running away from a replication of the famous PS1-era Rubeus Hagrid.
Gameplay
Escape PS1 Hagrid is notable for the sheer variety of gameplay it presents players with. You’ll run around the castle collecting potions for Dumbledore, syringes for Dobby and casually assaulting other Hogwarts students at the command of others.
You’ll have to do all this while keeping a wary eye out for Hagrid. The game transitions smoothly between a quest-based adventure, platform-jumper, survival-horror and classic battle brawler.
Difficulty
Escape PS1 Hagrid has three main levels of difficulty, namely, Muggle, Prefect and Chosen One. The quests and mechanics in each are more challenging than the last, and the strength and speed of Hagrid also increase.
For the bravest gamers, there is a fourth level. Aptly called ‘Difficulty that must not be named’, level four is a boss battle.
Multi-faceted, good-natured fun
Harry Potter die-hards may find this game a little off-colour. But the intent behind the game is fun, and the gameplay is incredibly entertaining.
Escape PS1 Hagrid flies around on a broomstick betwixt the realms of poking fun at the PS1 era graphics and at the Harry Potter franchise, never quite landing in either. Instead, it does a bit of both while thoroughly entertaining all kinds of players.
