Developed by Invader Studios, Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is the equally terrifying, third-person perspective survival game prequel to Daymare: 1998. Currently available as a 30-minute demo, this action-packed game allows you to step into the shoes of special agent Dalila Reyes. In it, there’s a lot to explore and multiple puzzles to solve.
With a scary setting and challenging puzzles
As Reyes, you’ll have to enter an eerie experimental research laboratory and unveil its secrets, armed only with a nondescript handgun and the Frost Grip — a portable ice cannon that will prove handy in both immobilizing the enemy and clearing obstacles. The atmosphere is taut with scary tension too, making for exciting gameplay. Furthermore, Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle teases a more refined and intuitive interface compared to Daymare: 1998. It also brings back known characters and introduces new ones as well. Plus, the enemies in this one can come back to life and become more aggressive. However, it deals with extreme violence and gore.
Only available as a demo for now
Overall, Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is an exciting yet spine-chilling survival horror game that’s sure to keep your eyes peeled and glued to the screen. A competent prequel to Daymare: 1998, it brings back well-loved characters and paves the way for new ones. It’s currently available as a 30-minute demo.
