A file transfer app

SuperBeam is a Bluetooth replacement that facilitates sharing files and folders amongst Android devices. As the name suggests, it uses WiFi Direct technology or existing connections to transfer data at high speeds.
A modern approach
Transferring files via USBs or Bluetooth connection is a thing of the past. Nowadays, many apps exist to facilitate the process and make it as comfortable as possible. Notable names include Send Anywhere, Xender, and SuperBeam.
How it works
With SuperBeam, you can send any file to another device through WiFi Direct, which works similarly to Bluetooth. It's possible to connect to any other app user or a person connected to the same WiFi network as you. Then, you can send anything from photos to zip files.
To send a file, you'll need to select it from your mobile device. The app will create a QR code, which the other user scans. The transfer will begin right after that action. There are two additional ways to connect devices, too, via NFC or a manual sharing key.
Compatibility
This app uses port 8080 for all transmissions. This feature ensures a high level of compatibility with other devices on the network.
Originally, you could only run this app on Android devices. However, it's possible to connect using your PC through the web browser, and the developers recently put out an iOS version.
Free vs. Pro
All the essential features of this app are free. You get to transfer an unlimited number of files quickly and even use both the light and dark UI theme.
If you purchase the premium version, you can send entire folders, not file by file. Moreover, you gain access to SuperBeam for PC, get to use the manual sharing key, and stop seeing ads in the UI.
Super convenient
Overall, SuperBeam tramps Bluetooth and USB connections regarding transferring speed and flexibility. It’s even quicker than SHAREit, another popular option. While the newest release lags here and there, it’s still one of the best apps for the purpose.
