Save the galaxy in this alien strategy game
StarCraft Demo is a popular real-time strategy game developed by Blizzard Entertainment. In this game, you play as a group of human exiles fighting for survival on the outer reaches of the galaxy. The plot is based on the delicate real world balance of power, where a unified Terran government maintains an uneasy peace. However, as resources run short, they turn towards the rich worlds of their alien neighbors, Protoss. To complicate things further, a deadly species known as the Zerg enters the fray.
In this demo, your task is to lead your troops to victory over powerful alien opponents and restore peace to the fringe-world of Chau Sara. The game offers an optional tutorial mission to help you learn the tactics and basics of the game. You can also play head-to-head via battle.net or against up to 8 friends over IPX networks. The graphics and sound have an 80's arcade style, and there is a campaign editor available to design your own levels and scenarios.
StarCraft Demo has a faithful fanbase and provides plenty of online players to challenge. However, as a strategy game, it feels dated.
