Additionally, Montage offers a selection of nice script templates to help users get started, including some from the BBC. Importing and exporting scripts is also extremely easy.
However, serious film directors might feel a little disappointed with Montage as it lacks some essential features. Firstly, it does not track changes made to the script, which can be a significant drawback for collaborative work. Secondly, Montage lacks a proper timeline view, limiting the ability to visualize the flow of scenes and events. While you can set it to split the scene or full screen, these options are only available when viewing the script or specific scenes.
Overall, Montage is probably a good choice for aspiring movie directors thanks to its attractive interface and ease of use. However, more seasoned writers may lament the display limitations and lack of change tracking. Despite these drawbacks, Montage remains a valuable tool for organizing and developing movie scripts.
