Plaster for Mac
Plaster for Mac is a sleek icon personalization solution, which enables you to quickly assign specific images to folders, without having to deal with complex settings. There are two ways you can alter your folder images with Plaster for Mac. The first method is to drag an image file from the Finder to the app’s window. If you wish, you can also drag an image directly from your browser, or you can even drag any app to use its icon if you wish, as well. The other method is to drag over a folder that contains one or more image files. A random image from the image files in the folder will be chosen and displayed. If the image is to you liking then you can simply hit the Plaster icon. If, however, you don’t like it then you can choose the ‘Try Again’ button. This mode also displays a ‘Remove’ button. Customizing folders is a great way to help you locate specific items quickly. Plaster for Mac allows you to do just that. It is a lightweight app that has an intuitive user interface in which to perform all drag and drop actions, and it is very easy to use!
Transmit
Transmit FTP is a modern FTP application that supports a range of transfer types and services. Not only does it support FTP and SFTP, but it also allows you to transfer files to and from services like Amazon S3, or set up your own WebDAV storage. Transmit gives Mac OS X users highly usable file transfer that looks right at home in OS X. Its interface has echoes of regular FTP software, yet it has been updated to make it look just like the OS X Finder. Users browse their local files on the left and remote files on the right, and there are attractive icons to make each service stand out in the list. Panic, the develops of Transmit, claim that its code has been tweaked to make it faster. This speed boost applies to the application and to its file transfers. Other benefits include: Mount remote storage as though it is a local disk. Click the Sync button to create an exact copy of a local folder on a remote server. Dual pane or single pane view, with the option of viewing two local browsers side by side. File upload progress and overall progress shown in one compact progress bar. If you're a user of Transmit version 3, you can upgrade the software to Transmit version 4 for a reduced price. See the Panic website for details.
