Combat Magic: Spells and Swords, is a free online action game (in 3rd person) that takes place in a fantasy and medieval-themed world. Players have a choice of controlling either a warrior, mage or archer who is part of one out of two small armies. Your main goal of this game is to kill the opposing king.
The opposing king is sheltered by your enemies. Therefore, you need to get past swaths of enemy soldiers to take him out. To help you achieve this objective, you’ll have access to a massive selection of weapons and strategies. Other games with fantasy elements include Clash of Kings and War and Magic.
Game controls
The in-game controls of Combat Magic are simple and surprisingly easy to use, given the history of past 3D online action games. On the bottom right-hand side of the screen, you'll find the action control buttons. This is where you can block, use your shield and most importantly, attack. On the middle left of your screen, you will see the movement panel for the use of spells that's very responsive and easy to use.
Another neat feature of Magic Combat is that you’re able to change weapons mid-game and make use of options such as recovering lost health.
Item selection
One aspect of this free combat game is that not only does it offer a huge selection of weapons and armour, but also allows for loads of cool, customisable looks for your character. For instance, you can customise your character's hairstyle, beard, skin colour, face type and much more. Your player's boots, shield, weapon and gloves can also all be customised.
Gameplay
Combat Magic has two different modes, online and offline, which is great news for those with limited internet access. Gamers also have the option to play across multiple different maps. The variety of maps is great for this part slasher/ part RPG game, which are game styles that require greater map variation.
Online action game essential
Combat Magic allows players from around the world to go head-to-head with each other in the online mode. Alternatively, players can play on the offline mode when internet access is limited. With many customisable character options and a variety of maps makes this a great title for gamers who enjoy medieval themes.
