Downloadable offline recordings
Every chapter of the Quran can be downloaded for offline listening in the app. Each file downloads as an Mp3 launched within the Audio Quran application. Downloaded surahs are identifiable by a tick icon next to their names.
When downloading, tap and hold on the surahs you want to download, then select the reciters you want to hear reading the holy book. As the chapters download in the background, you can resume reading and listening to the Quran. Progress of downloading can be seen in your notification bar.

Favouring a surah allows you to find it later, an ideal option for meditating on specific chapters or verses. The application can run while your screen is locked. While locked, the readings are managed through your notification menu.
