AddMovie is a versatile program that allows you to merge multiple video clips of different formats into one without the need for conversion. It also offers the option to compile a batch of clips for conversion into a specific format. The simple interface features a slider and marker for easy navigation and allows you to extract movie frames, split movies at specific points, and extract the sound track into an AIFF file.
With AddMovie, you can select from a variety of output formats including QuickTime, MPEG-4, and 3GP. Joining or converting files is straightforward - simply drag and drop the files you want to merge into the AddMovie File List. Then, click the options button to choose the desired export format or create a "self-contained" version. Merging clips is as easy as clicking "Generate," while exporting clips into a different format only requires clicking "Export Movies."
It is important to note that AddMovie may not support all formats, and for Flash and WMV files, you will need to install the QuickTime plugins. Despite this limitation, AddMovie is a simple yet efficient tool for merging and converting video formats.
