Choose Windows Or Amiga To Play Warblade
Warblade is a shareware game for Microsoft Windows and OS X, penned by Norwegian programmer Edgar M. Vigdal. The Windows version works perfectly on Linux under Winebottle. It's also available for sale for iOS devices through the App Store.
The game is an homage to Galaga, a classic arcade game from the '80s. If you remember playing it, you'll know that the objective of the game was to destroy all enemies and collect as much power up parts as possible before the timer expired. This meant that you had to attack all enemy targets, not just one at a time. In this respect, the Windows PC game is not really much different from its arcade and console brethren, but it does allow you to select different attack/defence strategies.
In fact, the controls are very simple - just use the mouse to aim and fire. You can switch weapons by using the keyboard buttons, although only two guns are used in total. As you advance through the stages, you will unlock additional weapons plus shields to increase your chances of survival. If you're an expert or master of another arcade game like Galaga, you'll love Warblade, as the stages are not too difficult, and the game play pretty much identical to Galaga in terms of difficulty. In short, this is one of the best old arcade type computer games that still can be enjoyed today!
