Survival horror simulator

The Forest is a first-person survival horror simulator developed by Endnight Games Ltd. The game takes place after a passenger jet crash and you appear to be the lone survivor. As you begin to search for clues, you discover that you are not alone. The mysterious forest is inhabited by tribes of cannibalistic mutants. These artificially intelligent, non-playable characters will react to you in two ways: they can eat you right away, or study your movements and eat you later on. Your only option is to explore the island and scavenge for resources. Along the way, you find that things are more terrifying than it seems.

Survival guide

The game begins with you regaining consciousness at the back of the airplane. You can then begin looting the plane. The most important item is the ax as it allows you to break open cases and bags. It is also important to treat your wounds with bandages and medicine from the first aid kit. Before exiting the plane, you will need to see the end of the forest. It should be close to some trees, but outside of dense, wooded areas.

This is a good place to build your first shelter. The shelter should have a hunting station, fire pit, and drying rack. These will help you cut up animals you’ve hunted and make them edible. You can also create shelter near water so you will always have access to water for drinking and for cleansing your wounds. Once you’ve set up camp, you can continue to explore the forest to loot more items. The most important but also most difficult areas of the forest are the caves.

These are extremely dark and tight spaces in the game where you will find the most loot. Included in this are clues to the island’s secrets. It can vary from camera footage to drawings so its best to keep them in your inventory. Other items can be useless alone, but you can put them together to form a weapon. For example, you can put together a stick with five feathers to create an arrow. You can light this on fire when you’re being attacked by a large group.

System Requirements

The Forest has both a frightening premise and appearance. Its three-dimensional graphics mimic the real-life appearance of humans, animals, and wildlife. This includes anatomically correct parts of a human’s organs, yet the game can be played on most consumer-level computers. The following are the game’s minimum requirements.

Operating System: Windows 7

Processor: Intel Dual-Core 2.4 GHz

Memory: 4 GB RAM

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT

DirectX: Version 9.0

Storage: 5 GB available space

It’s important to note that Endnight Games Ltd recommends that you play on a Windows 7 operating system. Should you have the 32-bit version of Win7, you must make sure you have 4 GB of usable RAM in your system.

Above and beyond the survival game genre

The primary goal of The Forest is survival, making it a suitable choice for gamers that are looking for a challenging yet rewarding gaming experience. In addition to crafting a way to survive is the game’s story. You will need to follow your intuition based on the clues you find. Lastly, it is a lightweight game that can be installed on a casual player or experienced gamer’s PC.
