Is it a Good Idea to Play PlayStation Mobile For Android?
Unfortunately, Sony has issued the bad news just a couple of weeks before the end of the year, so it's hard to tell exactly what the future holds for the PlayStation Mobile for Android. There are a number of different factors at work behind the scenes, including compatibility issues between the two platforms. Sony told PlayStation enthusiasts in a statement that it "expects" the PlayStation Mobile for Android application to work on the majority of existing PlayStation Certified devices but does not plan to release the application on any new hardware. This statement doesn't mean that the PSP is doomed to failure, but it does mean that the dream of PlayStation Mobile on your mobile phone is over. Now you're either stuck with a broken PlayStation or heading to the store to pick up another one.
But what about the dreamers out there? Will the dream of playing the ultimate games on the go be ruined because the PlayStation Mobile for Android devices won't work on them? Not necessarily, as there are still a number of different options available for those who want a mobile PlayStation experience. Those looking to purchase the latest model of the Playstation Portable shouldn't worry too much about this particular problem as most manufacturers have already secured licensing agreements with many of the major mobile phone networks to allow their devices to run on a certain range of cellular network providers. For those who would like to use their Playstation on their cell phones, it would probably be best to look for a third party accessory provider to provide you with a compatibility check list of the most popular and most recent handsets.
