iPaint: Doodle away with this Paintbrush clone
Screenshots
iPaint is a simple drawing application based on the classic Paintbrush application. It offers a familiar interface and editing tools that are copied from Paintbrush, but with added features and improvements. Designed for beginners and those looking for a basic paint program, iPaint is easy to use and provides all the essential tools like pencils, erasers, brushes, and geometric shapes. However, it is worth noting that iPaint has limited creative drawing capabilities, mainly allowing for scribbling and graffiti-style effects.
Since this review was written, iPaint no longer seems to work correctly. Although it worked fine in OS X 10.5 at the time of the review, it does not work in OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, despite the developer claiming support for 10.5+. This may impact the overall usability and reliability of the program.
Overall, iPaint is a good option for those who want a basic paint program without the complexity of a major paint package. It is suitable for simple retouching and can be enjoyed by kids who want to scribble and create simple designs.
