Want to quickly browse through all the fonts installed on your computer? Font Mate provides a simple interface to do just that. Select the font type then browse through the different characters using your key commands. An enlarged version of the selected font is shown at the bottom left of the screen. It can be copied to clipboard or printed out on a sheet.
Font Mate doesn't do anything revolutionary, nothing that Font Book, which comes pre-installed on Macs, can't do. However, the application does open up very quickly and uses up very little memory. It looks nice, it's simple to use, and it doesn't take up any space on your Mac, so it will make for a good alternative font reader.
